Webb City High School
Safety is a top priority for Knob Noster Public Schools. One of the specific deliverables of the proposed Knob Noster High School Innovation Campus is construction of a Community Tornado Saferoom. To help accomplish this goal, Knob Noster Public Schools submitted a Letter of Intent (LOI) to the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to apply for a $4.5 million Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. That LOI was accepted by SEMA in fall 2021 and invited the district to apply for the grant. That invitation signaled that SEMA had set aside funding for the project. Throughout the Spring of 2022, the district will engage in the application process. We have engaged the best engineering firm in the state, Toth and Associates, to assist the district in preparing the application. Toth and Associates has successfully written application for the majority of projects that have been funded in the state. We anticipate the grant will be accepted in early summer, with funding allocated in the fall. Information related to this portion of the project will be archived on this page.
